Terms of Service

1. Service Description

GEO Monitor is a brand visibility monitoring service that queries AI search engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini) to track how your brand is mentioned in AI-generated responses. The service includes scan execution, mention extraction, GEO audits, and content fix recommendations.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. One person or entity per account.

3. Credits & Payments

• Credits are prepaid and used to execute scans, audits, and content fixes
• Credits do not expire
• All payments are processed by Stripe. By purchasing credits, you agree to Stripe's terms of service
• Refunds are available within 30 days of purchase if no credits have been used
• We reserve the right to change credit pricing with 30 days notice to existing customers

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service to monitor brands you do not own or have authorization to monitor
• Attempt to reverse-engineer AI engine responses for purposes other than brand monitoring
• Resell scan data or audit results without written permission
• Abuse the API or attempt to circumvent rate limits or credit costs
• Use the service for any illegal purpose or to harm others

5. AI-Generated Content

Scan results, audit recommendations, and content fixes are generated by AI engines. While we strive for accuracy, AI outputs may contain errors, hallucinations, or outdated information. You should review all AI-generated content before acting on it.

We do not guarantee that AI engine responses will remain consistent over time, as AI providers update their models regularly.

6. Data Ownership

You retain ownership of all brand data you input (names, URLs, queries). Scan results and audit data generated by the service are owned by you and can be exported or deleted at any time.

7. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee specific uptime. AI engine APIs are operated by third parties (OpenAI, Perplexity, Anthropic, Google) and may experience outages beyond our control. Failed scans due to engine outages are not charged credits.

8. Limitation of Liability

GEO Monitor is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for decisions made based on scan results or audit recommendations. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for credits in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Unused credits are not refundable upon termination for cause.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

11. Changes

We may update these terms with 30 days notice via email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
